I am an educator and artist born, raised and educated in St. Louis, Missouri. I received my BA in Art History from Webster University, Master ‘s in Art Studies from Fontbonne University and a Master’s Degree in Education emphasis in Curriculum Design from University of Missouri St. Louis.
My motto is, "Be a unique creation" In your work and life. I continue to work to make a difference in my community and inspire change through the arts.
Project: Mask making
Art Focus: We all wear masks
Participants can create masks that for the masquerade prom or just for fun. We will discuss design elements to create fun exaggerated features and color theory, so we can choose colors that best represent the meaning and expressive impact of the mask. Ideally, the masks created will speak to who we are as individuals, inside and out.Participants will discuss the purpose and utilization of masks in different cultures and will use mask models as a foundation to create their own mask that will be designed and painted to their liking.
