About Lillian...

I earned a BFA at Webster University from the Department of Art, Design, and Art History. My work acknowledges and promotes underrepresented groups in the arts. I believe that being an artist and writer takes a certain amount of strength and dedication. The arts are such a demanding field that draws out vulnerability, passion, character, perseverance, precision, intuition, and creativity. My practice beckons me to translate the ongoing experiences I encounter in life into figurative tools that construct stories that change with time. My work is a reflection of my current environment, the state of being present. I am currently exploring relationships, both external and internal, the duality of past and present, developing and questioning identity, and diving into the question, “What if?” challenging the rules of logic. I hope to keep on learning & evolving as an individual, within the community, and beyond – through creating art, collaborating with various organizations, fighting for justice, serving the community, and educating myself and others.
