Gelli Print Making with CatFriday November 6th 6:00-8:00PM @ Artists First
You’ll be jelly (jealous) if you miss this one! Come learn Gelli Plate Printmaking with Cat!
Gelli plates capture delicate impressions of objects, creating unique monoprints without a printing press. You can use found objects such as lace, bubble wrap, plants, and more to create intricate patterns. Using multilayered techniques, you’ll discover different ways to combine colors and patterns. 
Cat is an artist with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, with a concentration in printmaking. They are currently in graduate school at SIUE, pursuing a degree in art therapy and counseling. When they’re not in school or making art, you can find Cat exploring the outdoors or curled up inside with their cats.
Copper Ornaments/Window Decor with MarnieFriday November 20th 6:30-8:30PM @ Marnie's Creative Outlet
Create beautiful hanging copper dragonflies, butterflies, and birds to hang on windows. Cut and emboss the shape and texture of the copper. Use copper wire and beads to add that magical feel. No experience necessary. We’ll guide you step-by-step.
Artist Trading Cards with RossFriday December 4th 6:00-8:00PM @ Artists First
Artist Trading Cards are little card-sized pieces of art that you can trade with other artists to build a collection! In this workshop I’ll bring some of my own artworks and my collection to show and trade with you all, you can put anything your heart desires on the cards, we’ll have lots of different media including collage, watercolor, alcohol markers, paint pens, fabric, and stamps! The goal is for everyone to make a few (or a lot of) trading cards that they’re proud of and share them at the end when we all do a big trade!
This workshop is facilitated by Ross Rhodes, a graduated participant of PASTL. Their favorite mediums are oil and water color. They are currently studying Art Education at DePaul University in Chicago and have missed Proud Art STL in their time away, they’re so excited to be back and leading a workshop.
Beaded Bracelets with Peggy Friday December 11th 6-8 PM @ Artists First
There’s an art to stacking elastic beaded bracelets to express your unique style. In this workshop, we’ll take time to explore color, texture, and pattern—mixing bright beads, soft pastels, metallic accents, and interesting shapes to create combinations that feel balanced and personal. You’ll experiment with different bead layouts, notice how colors play off each other, and build a small collection that reflects your own aesthetic. Along the way, you’ll learn the full process: planning your design, stringing beads, and finishing each bracelet with a secure knot. It’s a relaxed, hands‑on session where you can create pieces to keep, trade, or share with friends.
Holiday Cookie DecoratingFriday December 18th 6:00-8:00PM @ Artists First
December is made for cozying up with cookies & community, and everyone knows homemade, hand-decorated cookies are the best. Join PASTL for the best holiday vibes and plenty of cookies to decorate and devour. This hangout is intended for LGBTQIA+ teens and allies.
