Available Positions

POSSIBILITIES Advocate 2026 (Part Time, Contract Role)

We’re hiring LGBTQIA+ teens to plan and facilitate creative, identity-affirming workshops in school GSA clubs. Gain paid experience in peer support and facilitation while building queer community through art.

Requirements

  • 16–19 year old LGBTQIA+ teen with guardian consent.
  • Must attend training Feb 21–22 and Mock Sessions on March 6.
  • Reliable travel to and from assigned St. Louis County schools.
  • Creative, socially conscious leader willing to be vulnerable.
  • Commit to 20-30 hours of work between February and June

POSSIBILITIES Advocate (Full Time Employment)

Proud Art STL is hiring LGBTQIA+ teens as POSSIBILITIES Advocates to lead creative, identity-affirming workshops in school GSA clubs. Gain paid experience in peer support and facilitation while building queer community through art.

Requirements

  • 16–19 year old LGBTQIA+ teen with guardian consent.
  • Must attend training Feb 21–22 and Mock Sessions on March 6.
  • Reliable travel to and from assigned St. Louis County schools.
  • Creative, socially conscious leader willing to be vulnerable.
  • Facilitate 2 school sessions and assist 1 monthly workshop.

Design and lead creative workshops for LGBTQIA+ middle and high schoolers using your artistic skills. You will create a supportive environment where teens feel safe to explore creativity, express themselves, and connect with others.

Requirements

  • Experience in an artistic discipline
  • Comfort working with youth in a group setting
  • Ability to plan and lead a 2 hour workshop
  • Commitment to inclusivity and youth safety

Support the planning and execution of workshops by coordinating schedules, communicating with artists, and assisting with logistics. This role helps ensure programs run smoothly and consistently.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in coordination, nonprofit, or event support preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Comfort working collaboratively with a small team

Build and maintain relationships with artists, families, and community partners. Help grow awareness of Proud Art STL programs and support outreach efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience in community outreach or engagement
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Alignment with Proud Art STL’s mission and values
  • Ability to represent the organization with care and professionalism

Create and share thoughtful content that highlights workshops, events, and community impact. Help tell Proud Art STL’s story in an authentic and youth centered way.

Requirements

  • Experience managing social media platforms
  • Strong writing and content creation skills
  • Understanding of inclusive and respectful communication
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
